Rep. Ken Skowronski Takes the Oath of Office
MADISON- Today, Representative Ken Skowronski (R-Franklin) took the Oath of Office and officially began serving as the Representative for the 82nd Assembly District.
“I look forward to learning from and working with my legislative colleagues,” Skowronski said. “In the past year, they have done many great things for the State of Wisconsin and I am excited to be part of their effective reforms.”
Ken will serve on five committees in the State Assembly: Ways and Means, Veterans, Natural Resources and Our Sporting Heritage, Health, and Urban and Local Affairs.
“I am proud to be placed on these committees,” Skowronski continued, “My time as a local alderman in Franklin, as a Wisconsin sportsman and as an Air National Guard veteran will bring a unique perspective to these committees.
“I am ready to hit the ground running by serving my constituents and fulfilling the promises I made on the campaign of lowering taxes and bringing jobs to Wisconsin.” Skowronski concluded.
Before being elected to the legislature, Ken was a city alderman in Franklin for the past nine years. Ken has worked in the construction and remodeling industry for 53 years as a general contractor.
Ken is very active in the community serving on many civic boards. He is a board member & life member of the Polish Heritage Alliance (Polish Center) as well as active volunteer at Polish Fest. He is member and past president of Franklin Lions, a member of the Franklin Seniors Association, and Deputy Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He taught DNR Hunter Safety courses for 19 years.
Ken served in the Wisconsin Air National Guard 128th Refueling Wing and was honorably discharged.
The 82nd Assembly District was vacated by Jeff Stone (R-Greendale) in October, when he took a position at the Public Service Commission.
