Rep. Skowronski returns from U.S. Army War College
Rep. Skowronski was one of 70 business, government, academic and community leaders selected from across the country to take part in the week-long academic seminar alongside the students of the Army War College. During the special academic event, he represented fellow American citizens in educational exchanges with the next generation of senior leaders of the U.S. Armed Forces. These exchanges enable a deeper understanding of perspectives from across the American society they serve. The Commandant's National Security Program was the capstone event for 374 senior US military officers of the Class of 2018 distance graduate program in Strategic Studies.
CNSP featured speakers addressed the theme of, "Strategic leadership challenge in a complex world" -- retired Navy Admiral Mark Ferguson, III, former commander of US Naval Forces Europe; Ambassador Daniel Shields, former ambassador to Brunei; retired Army General Charles H. Jacoby, Jr., former commander of U.S. Northern Command; Dr. David Sanger, chief Washington correspondent for the New York Times; Andy Ellis, chief security officer at Akamai Technologies; and Army Gen. Paul M. Nakasone, commander of U. S. Cyber Command.
Since 1901, the U. S. Army War College educates and develop leaders for service at the strategic level, while advancing knowledge in the global application of land power.
